22nd annual Leon Gator Fest wraps up

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- Sunday was the final day for the 22nd annual Leon Gator Fest.

Gator Fest has been a local tradition in Leon since an error in a 2002 USA Today article wrongfully said gators were on the loose in the town.

There were an estimated 400 attendees at the festival this year.

The final day of the fest included a softball tournament, live music, Sunday service, craft show, and a tractor pull.

"Everybody is here to have a fun time and not worry about anything. We all enjoy the laundry basket softball, and the 4H food stand is amazing. We all just have a good time with our family, friends, and community," said President of Leon Gator Fest committee Kristin Betts.
