Foggy start to Wednesday but cooler and less humid

W H AT WE ARE TRACKING: After the fog or low clouds burn off, cooler and less humid conditions are expected on Wednesday. A cold front brings more showers and thunderstorms late on Thursday and Thursday night.

NEXT 24 HRS: Fog or low cloud cover persists through Tuesday morning before skies become mostly sunny by the afternoon. Temperatures will climb into the middle 70s to low 80s under less humid conditions.

LOOKING AHEAD: After a more humid Thursday, a cold front moves through Thursday night, resulting in showers and thunderstorms late Thursday through Thursday night. The chances of severe thunderstorms are low at this point, given that most of the activity will occur at night. Less humid and drier air arrives on Friday, and a much cooler airmass arrives by Sunday behind another cold front. High temperatures fall from the 70s and 80s Friday and Saturday to the 60s and 70s Sunday through Tuesday. High temperatures will slowly return to seasonable by the second half of next week. Overall, the weather pattern looks quiet on Labor Day weekend and all of next week.
