Cool and sunny for Labor Day

W H AT WE ARE TRACKING: Dry, sunny, and comfortable conditions take us into the week with temps warming back to normal by Wednesday.

NEXT 24 HRS: After the passing of an overnight cold front, temperatures cooled Sunday, leveling out in the low-70s. Clear skies are expected tonight, making for a great star-gazing night if you pack extra blankets! Clear conditions will send l ow temps down to the mid- 40s for much of the area . Fortunately, w e are forecasting perfect weather for any outdoor activities you may have planned for Labor Day. High pressure overhead will bring sunny skies, calm winds, and dry conditions into the holiday. High temps will be fairly uniform across the area, peaking in the mid-70s.

LOOKING AHEAD: These quiet conditions will continue into the work week, with highs staying in the 70s through Tuesday. Southerly winds return Wednesday, bring ing warmer air with it. H igh temperatures build back up to average (low-80s) through Thursday . Additionally, a low pressure system and its accompanied cold front will make its way to our area Thursday . This will be out next weather maker, giving rain chances of 20-40%. This cold front will dip temperatures down once agai n, with many areas seeing the 60s by next weekend.
