Nightshift police officers arrested a suspicious subject for various narcotics and weapons violations, according to the Fountain Valley Police Department .

The suspect appeared to be in a limo emblazoned with a sticker labeled “ Hudson Dance Academy ,” which is based in Fountain Valley. That academy appears to train young girls. Check out their Instagram feed here .

Perhaps the suspect fashioned himself to be some sort of security for the female dancers?

The weapons seized by the police included black nunchucks , a black flexible baton and what appears to be a black switchblade.

However, nunchucks are no longer illegal in CA thanks to SB 827 .

The baton though is still illegal per Penal Code § 22210 PC . Penal Code § 22210 PC makes it illegal to manufacture, import, sell, give, or possess leaded canes or batons (or other weapons in this category). The offense can be charged as a misdemeanor or a felony. A conviction is punishable by up to 3 years in jail or prison.

And the switchblade is still illegal per Penal Code § 21510 PC . If you carry a switchblade concealed on your person, you could be charged instead with a violation of Penal Code 21310, which prohibits carrying a concealed “dirk” or “dagger.”3 If you are convicted of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, you could face up to 3 years in state prison.

The drugs seized by the Fountain Valley Police appear to be several vaping devices. The police did not reveal what the narcotics in question were.
