WWE continues to make changes. In recent months several WWE office employees have left the company, including many who have been with the sports entertainment giant for decades. On September 3rd, it was reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that two more members of staff were heading to the exit.

On Monday afternoon, news spread across social media that Odyssey Jones had been quietly removed from WWE’s official roster page, and it was subsequently confirmed that it wasn’t an error. This would, therefore, lead to a great deal of speculation as to why WWE would be distancing themselves from someone who had only recently been called up to the main roster and referred to as a “game changer” by Triple H. However, after he failed to feature during this week’s episode of Raw, it has now been reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select on X that the reason is the former college football player has been accused of domestic violence. Still, it was noted that it isn’t known whether he has been arrested or officially released by WWE. 30-year-old Jones, real name Omari Palmer, initially tried out for WWE after an injury cut short his football career and was promptly signed due to his size and athletic ability. Yet since then, his WWE run has been stop-start with injuries and a lack of a creative direction hindering his progress. Still having recently debuted on Raw as part of an angle with The New Day, it looked like his future was bright.

The WWE roster is currently loaded with talent, but we’ve seen a number of interesting departures this year. Ahead of Monday Night Raw fans noticed that Odyssey Jones had been removed from the official roster page on WWE’s website. Fightful Select also reported that Odyssey Jones was not at Raw this week and he was not included in plans for the show.

WWE Star Possibly Done With The Company

Former two-time WWE Women’s Champion Victoria, who also worked for TNA as Tara has shared the exciting news on her X account that she has signed a WWE Legends contact. Fighting back tears in the short video, the 53-year-old who worked for WWE for just under a decade revealed she’d signed what is now called a “Nostalgic Contract” and referred to herself as “WWE family.” For those who may not be familiar with WWE Legends Contracts, also known as Nostalgia Contacts, these grant the company rights to a wrestler’s likeness for merchandise and video games. They also typically include a set fee for potential television appearances. While these agreements sometimes include exclusivity to WWE, in some cases, talents can have exceptions made, which explains why Jake “The Snake” Roberts can work for AEW while still having action figures produced by WWE’s toy manufacturer Mattel.
