Liverpool Lads Kick Off 2024 Marion Popcorn Festival with Popcorn Matinee at Palace

The Marion Popcorn Festival will again present a free live entertainment event at the Marion Palace Theatre on Thursday, September 5 with the performance of LIVEPOOL LADS at the Popcorn Matinee.

It’s all fab! Based in Northeast Ohio, Liverpool Lads have been recreating Beatles memories and surpassing audience expectations since 2009. They utilize replicas of the same vintage instruments, amplifiers, and wardrobes used by the Beatles to create accurate and energetic live recreations of their inspiring music. Just like the Beatles did – their performances are all live without backing tracks or overdubbing. Liverpool Lads are four dedicated musicians who give it their all for Beatles fans every time out.

Sponsored by AQUA AMERICA and BUCKEYE RIDGE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, the LIVERPOOL LADS performance begins at 2:00 PM and is free and open to the public, no ticket is required.

The 2024 dates of the 43rd annual Marion Popcorn Festival are September 5, 6 and 7. All performances at the Marion Popcorn Festival are free of charge. Main Stage performances start with an opening show by local bands at 6:00 PM and the headlining artists taking the stage at 8:30 PM following the Opening Ceremonies Sponsorship Recognition. HARVEST, a Neil Young Tribute, will perform on Thursday. Country artist DILLON CARMICHAEL takes the stage on Friday, and Southern Rockers JACKYL will close out the festival on Saturday. A limited number of Kernel sponsorship seats are available for any of the evening Main Stage performances by calling 740-387-FEST.

Other festival events and activities include the Popcorn Parade on Thursday with over 300 units, a 5K Run, the MOFAS Fine Arts show at Kin & Kilt, crafts and vendors, a corn hole tournament, the Community Showcase Stage, a new family area at Founders Park, the Poppin’ Party stage beer garden, and much more.
