( NewsNation ) — Celine Dion’s managers and her record label say the campaign of former President Donald Trump did not have permission to use a video of Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Friday Trump rally in Montana.

“In no way is this use authorized and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use,” said the statement on Dion’s X account. “…And really, THAT song?” capped the post. Media outlets were also quick to note the irony of a campaign using the song featured in the 1997 movie “Titanic.”

The Harris campaign posted a video taken by someone at the Trump rally in Bozeman showing the crowd watching the video, with the comment “Trump campaign plays the theme from the Titanic at his rally.”

A Trump rally near the end of the 2020 campaign also featured “My Heart Will Go On,” and it was also on the playlist at Trump’s Washington, D.C. rally on Jan. 6, 2021.

Over the years, several musicians have objected to Trump using their music without permission. The list includes Rihanna, Axl Rose and the estates of Prince, Sinead O’Conner and Tom Petty.

The Rolling Stones threatened legal action against Trump, and Neil Young filed a copyright infringement lawsuit.

“Plaintiff in good conscience cannot allow his music to be used as a ‘theme song’ for a divisive, un-American campaign of ignorance and hate,” the suit filed in 2020 stated. Four months later, a judge in New York dismissed the suit.
