    33 arrested after fentanyl, guns seized in Memphis

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police announced that its latest crime-fighting initiative led to over 30 arrests and the seizure of guns, drugs and stolen vehicles last month.

    On Friday, August 23, the Appling Farms Station ran Operation Code Zero. According to the MPD, the operation yielded 33 felony arrests, 14 felony warrant arrests, 30 misdemeanor arrests and six misdemeanor drug arrests.

    Officers seized marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and pills.

    Officers also recovered eight firearms. One of the firearms was stolen and two had switches on them.

    23 vehicles were towed and the police say that six of them were stolen.

    • Charles Ballard, 49, was charged with altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates. His bond is unknown.
    • Lakisha Battle, 41, was charged with altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates and prohibited weapons. She released on her own recognizance.
    • Marlon Brown, 22, was charged with driving while license suspended/canceled/revoked, tinted windows, drag racing, violation of vehicle registration and evading arrest. He was given a $10,000 bond.
    • Damarcus Clark, 31, was charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000, altering or changing engine or serial number fraudulently and vandalism $10,000-$60,000. He was given a $10,000 bond.
    • Melona Collier, 19, was charged with theft of property $1,000-$2,500. Her bond is unknown.
    • Christopher Edwards, 26, was charged with altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates. He was given a $5,000 bond.
    • Marcus Evans, 22, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell, evading arrest on foot, tampering with/fabricating evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $1,500 bond.
    • Carlos Gonzalez, 27, was charged with altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates. He was given a $1,000 bond.
    • Joshua Gray, 21, was charged with reckless driving, reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of a weapon, drag racing and possession of a controlled substance. He was given a $5,000 bond.
    • Jose Gutierrez-Perez, 30, was charged with altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates. He was released on his own recognizance.
    • Michael Harris, 35, was charged with altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates, violation of vehicle registration and financial responsibility. He was given a $20,000 bond.
    • Tershun Harvey, 30, was charged with altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and prohibited weapon. He was given a $6,000 bond.
    • Thomas Jones, 24, was charged with altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates, driving while license suspended/canceled/revoked and violation of vehicle registration. He was released on his own recognizance.
    • Terrell Jones, 32, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell. He was given a $1,500 bond.
    • Joshua King, 28, was charged with convicted felon in possession of a handgun, theft of property $2,500 or less, driving while license suspended/revoked/canceled and violation of vehicle registration. He was given a $35,000 bond.
    • Daniel Livingston, 20, was charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000, two counts of burglary tools, evading arrest, possession of FOB programming equipment prohibited and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was given a $20,000 bond.
    • Demeritte Marshall, 37, was charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000, alternating of engine or serial number fraudulently and vandalism $2,500-$10,000. He was given a $12,000 bond.
    • Dedrick McCollins, 23, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. He was given a $500 bond.
    • Christopher McMahon, 22, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell and violation of vehicle registration. He was given a $500 bond.
    • Axel Montealvo, 21, has been charged with reckless driving and drag racing. He was released of his own recognizance.
    • Brandon Powell, 40, was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and tampering with/fabricating evidence. He was given a $40,000 bond.
    • Romeo Shafi, 38, was charged with gambling promotion. He was released on his own recognizance.
    • Dakota Smith, 31, was charged with theft of property $2,500-$10,000. and forgery. He was given a $40,000 bond.
    • Delarrion Smith, 35, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell. He was given a $1,000 bond.
    • Trevon Taliaferro, 23, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates and driving while license suspended/revoked/canceled. He was given a $5,000 bond.
    • Pablo Valentin, 22, was charged with altering, falsifying or forging auto titles or assignment of plates, violation of vehicle registration and driving while license suspended/revoked/canceled. He was given a $1,000 bond.
    • Capri Wilson, 18, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and unlawful possession of a weapon. He was given a $5,000 bond.
    • A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000 and unlawful possession of a weapon. His bond is unknown.
    • A 15-year-old juvenile was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell and evading arrest on foot. His bond is unknown.
    • A 14-year-old juvenile was charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000, two counts of burglary tools, evading arrest and possession of FOB programming equipment prohibited. His bond is unknown.
