Cardi B says she’s not asking for child support amid divorce from Offset

Cardi B said she did not ask her estranged husband, Offset, for child support in her divorce filing.

On Saturday, the "WAP" artist shared details about child support during an interview, addressing claims that Offset was "unsupportive" throughout their marriage.

“Ok this is getting weird cause I can say he helps me a lot with my business and the kids,” she wrote in the comments section of the Jasmine Brand’s Instagram post.

“Never in my career no matter what I went through I had friends or family go to the media sooo I don’t know who is this damn source going to people magazine..Even wit my filling I’m not askin for child support my claim is for him to only pay for the bills he already pays on the kids and the new one.”

Page Six was the only outlet to reveal that Cardi, who goes by the name Belcalis Almánzar, has initiated divorce proceedings against Offset, who is actually Kiari Cephus.

The Grammy Award-winning artist, who is expecting her third child with Offset, is seeking full custody of their kids: Kulture, who is 6, and Wave, who is 2.

An insider mentioned that infidelity was not the reason for the couple's separation, despite them having a private wedding in 2017.

“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” the source claimed. “This is something she wants to do.”

The insider also added that the divorce was not “something that happened overnight.”

“They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. It’s become unavoidable,” the source claimed.

Rumors of infidelity have plagued Cardi and Offset’s marriage for years.

The singer of the "I Like It" show got a divorce in 2020 but ended up getting back together with the "Bad and Boujee" artist.

Then, in December 2023, Cardi announced they had broken up once more after the father of five accused them of infidelity with Chrisean Rock.

However, they quickly reconciled.
