Southwest Florida Man Arrested For $800 Lego Theft Spree

Naples, FL - A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing Lego sets from several Southwest Florida Target stores.

Police say Juan Sarmina-Flores was taken into custody on August 6th following an investigation into a theft at a North Naples Target on June 24th.

Store surveillance footage captured Sarmina-Flores concealing six boxes of Lego sets in his cart, totaling $799.94, and attempting to leave without paying.

Detectives determined that Sarmina-Flores was also a suspect in similar thefts at Target stores in Cape Coral.

With the assistance of the Cape Coral Police Department, some of the stolen Lego sets were recovered.

Sarmina-Flores was arrested on a charge of grand theft.
