Newton First Aid Squad to Host First Blood Drive of the Year

NEWTON, NJ—The Newton First Aid squad is holding another blood drive as they do throughout the year. The event will take place on Friday, August 2, from 2 through 6:30 p.m. at the Newton First Aid Squad located at 68 Sussex Street.

“Blood is one of the scarcest sources and does not have an alternative. Just one donation can save up to three lives,” according to their announcement.

Walk-ins are accepted but, it is preferred that donors pre-register at nybc.org/sponsor and use code: 70578.

Any questions about the event, call 646-739-1827 or 800-933-2566. Every 56 days a whole blood donor can donate and every 112 days a double red cell donor can donate, by "saving lives one pint at a time."
