Man charged with stuffing his son in freezer dies
HENRY COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) - A man accused of stuffing his teenage son’s body in a freezer died before his case could go to trial. Court records show Michael Shane Halstead died on July 7. Attorney Arthur Medley filed a motion to dismiss the charges following Halstead’s death.

BLAKELY, Ga. (WALB) - A Dothan, Alabama man has now been arrested in connection to a shooting in Blakely. On Wednesday, July 17, Blakely Police officers were called to a report of a gunshot on Palmetto Avenue. Through an investigation, police found that a vehicle drove past a home with people inside while one or more people fired guns at the house.
