New York Jets Fans Will Love This NFL Analyst’s Assessment

The New York Jets are hoping that they will be able to make the Super Bowl for the first time since Super Bowl III.

With quarterback Aaron Rodgers looking to return to the field and make the jump from missing the playoffs last season, there are a lot of differing opinions throughout the media of what the Jets will be able to do.

David Helman was on for a segment of FS1’s Speak and discussed how he believes that the Jets could make the Super Bowl this season if the defense holds up and Rodgers plays above average at the quarterback position.

“The Jets have the defensive personnel where if they get in through that situation, I think they are good enough,” Helman said. “If Aaron Rodgers is above-average, they are good enough to make some noise.”

The Jets are certainly hoping so, as well. The team made big strides to win this season with how they attacked the offseason.

With training camp officially underway, it will be interesting to see how things look going forward.

What should people expect out of the New York Jets this season?

The Jets have been one of the NFL’s more intriguing teams this offseason, and if we go under the assumption that the Haason Reddick contract situation plays itself out and he is on the field Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, the ballclub should be a lot better than it was to end the 2023 season.

The Jets significantly improved their offensive line and they already had running back Breece Hall, who looked like one of the game’s best at his position last season. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, and New York also added veteran Mike Williams to its receiving core.

The defense is still expected to be a massive strength with the likes of Sauce Gardner, CJ Mosley, and Quinnen Williams controlling that side of the ball. If the Jets can hold their head above water as the short weeks to begin the season take their toll, they can build up enough to be considered a serious contender.

That does not include the rumors of a Davante Adams trade that could happen between now and the NFL Trade Deadline. This Jets team could be a significant force by the time the season starts.
