2 New York Jets Fantasy Football Sleepers For 2024

    By Ian Van Roy,

The New York Jets have taken their mulligan and are stepping back into the tee box ahead of the 2024 season. At this point, anyone who knows about Fantasy Football knows that the Jets are offering up Breece Hall and Aaron Rodgers as must-haves from the team. However, what about some deeper cuts?

Here’s a look at two names flying under the radar on the Jets.

    Allen Lazard, WR

Allen Lazard is coming off a season in which he earned just 311 yards and one receiving touchdown. Based on that alone, many managers will look elsewhere. However, Lazard has two big factors working in his corner. Lazard played with Rodgers in Green Bay, building up chemistry throughout five seasons with the team. As such, Rodgers might trust Lazard over other targets on the roster, despite the lower spot on the chart.

Rodgers also gave Lazard his best season with the Packers in 2022. In that season, the wide receiver earned 788 yards and six touchdowns. If he can hit that total again for the Jets, he will be more than usable as a solid flex in some weeks.

    Malachi Corley, WR

Those desperate for a piece of the Jets’ offense can look at rookie Malachi Corley. The wide receiver is going into his first season but has a few reasons to believe in him. First, he managed to get selected for the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. The Senior Bowl is essentially the Pro Bowl but for college players. As such, there is one big reason to believe in him based on that alone.

Looking back at his college production, Corley produced 1295 yards and 11 touchdowns in his third season in 14 games. Then, in 2023, he earned 11 touchdowns and 984 yards in 12 games. Clearly, there is reason to believe there is something to his game.

Corley is a name to keep an eye on over the long haul of the season. As a rookie, he might pop in Week 1 or he might pop in Week 13. Those doubting can take a look at Puka Nacua and Jayden Reed. These two wide receivers came out of nowhere and now are known targets sought by most fantasy managers.

Getting Corley late in a draft could look like a genius move in retrospect.
