2 Arizona Cardinals Fantasy Football Sleepers For 2024

The Arizona Cardinals are largely a team fantasy managers will skip this season. However, it is teams like the Cardinals that catapult winning managers ahead of losing managers. Looking under every rock is important in Fantasy Football.

As such, here are two sleeper Cardinals players strongly worth considering in 2024.

    Michael Wilson, WR

Marvin Harrison Jr. is going to steal the attention this year for defenses, fans, and analysts. With defenses focused so heavily on stopping Harrison this season, it opens the door for Michael Wilson. The wide receiver is heading into his second year in the NFL and might be a bigger fantasy candidate than Harrison.

Of course, when all is said and done, Harrison likely will have more accolades. However, in 2024, Wilson could be one of the season’s surprises for those not keyed in on him.

In his rookie year, Wilson earned 565 yards and three touchdowns. Considering he played in just 13 games, his production is likely to trend up this season.

    Zay Jones, WR

Zay Jones won’t be available until the Cardinals’ sixth game of the season, per ESPN, but that doesn’t mean managers should pass on the former Jaguars receiver.

In 2022, Jones earned 823 yards and five touchdowns. Despite his lower spot on the depth chart, he will still have opportunities as he faces depth cornerbacks.

This means Jones could be open much more often this season, giving Kyler Murray plenty of opportunities to look his way. There is even some upside for Jones in that he could jump up the depth chart later in the season, getting even more looks. This could especially be the case if injuries occur.

In other words, if a receiver suffers an injury above him on the depth chart, Jones would be given a promotion. This would automatically give him more targets from Murray. He’s been a somewhat featured receiver before, so managers know the moment won’t be too big for him.

That said, the Arizona Cardinals pass-catcher likely isn’t worth drafting earlier than the bench-filling part of the draft. However, if he goes unclaimed in the draft, it will be a smart pickup around the end of September to replace one of most managers’ obligatory whiffed picks.
