    Woman, 66, dead after five-car crash on I-81 Tuesday

    One person is dead and two were hospitalized after an accident involving five vehicles on Interstate 81 Tuesday night in Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

    The location of the crash was on I-81 at approximately mile marker 98.3 in Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

    The crash occurred as David Wolfkeil, 69, of Niceville, Florida, the driver of a Kia Sportage traveling northbound on I-81 began to change from the right lane to the left lane and while doing so struck the back of a Nissan in the left lane, according to a release by state police.

    A Hyundai, unable to stop, struck the back of the Kia. As a result, the Nissan was pushed forward into the back of a Honda, pushing the Honda into the rear end of a Pontiac.

    The front seat passenger of the Kia, Jennifer Prerez-Wolfkeil, 66, of Niceville, Florida, was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Wolfkiel and the driver of the Hyundai sustained injuries and were transported to Hershey Medical Center.

    The Kia, Nissan, Hyundai and Honda were all disabled from the crash and towed from the scene.
