King Of The River Contest Goes Into Extra Innings
A rainout for the Peninsula Oilers last Saturday means the 2nd Annual King of the River Food Drive competition is getting some extra time this year. The contest, pitting the cities of Kenai and Soldotna against one another in a bid to see which can bring more food to the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, will now conclude on July 26.
Soldotna FY25 Capital Budget Focuses On Maintenance And Park Improvements
The Soldotna City Council approved the City’s fiscal year 2025 capital budget last week, including $575,000 in appropriations for capital projects. The projects target preventative maintenance for city streets and the Soldotna Police Department Building, improvements to the stage at Soldotna Creek Park, and the first phase of improvements at Memorial Park.
