Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships to be a part of the Sturgis Rally
STURGIS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), The World’s Fastest Growing Combat Sports Promotion, will make their highly anticipated debut in Sturgis, South Dakota with BKFC-63 on Saturday, August 3 at the Legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip. The exciting event, headlined by the BKFC’s Women’s Strawweight World Title Fight between longtime arch-rivals, Defending Champion Britain Hart, (8-3), and #3 Ranked Challenger Taylor ‘Killa Bee’ Starling, (4-2), is promoted with Grunt Style apparel on the first weekend of the iconic 84th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Newell's LuKayzee Brink and Wessington's Charleigh Brewer win goat tying performances at NJHFR
DES MOINES, Iowa — Newell’s LuKayzee Brink and Wessington’s Charleigh Brewer each won their performances Thursday at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo. Brink uncorked a 7.96-second run in the morning session while Brewer ran an 8.64 seconds in the evening session. There are still some goat tying remaining in the second go-round but Brink currently sits atop the goat tying standings with a combined time of 16.32 seconds. Brewer is currently 18th with a two-run time of 20.71 seconds. Entering Friday’s competition, the South Dakota girls are in third place with 1,095.00 points, trailing only Utah (1,995) and Texas (1,995).
Ryan Shough is ready to ride at BKFC 63 in Sturgis
Ryan Shough isn’t a biker, but he's putting the pedal to the medal at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this summer in Sturgis, SD. When Larrimore signed with BKFC, the long-time MMA fighter admits he was just looking for “a quick win and a quick payday.” Now 2-0 in the Squared Circle with back-to-back, first-round finishes, Larrimore is chasing bare knuckle fighting’s biggest prize – a BKFC World Championship belt.
Juniors Dominate Sturgis
The Chadron Platte Valley Bank American Legion Post 12 juniors took to the road and bounced back from three consecutive losses to sweep Sturgis in a doubleheader Friday Night. Tobin Meyer threw a gem in the first game, throwing for a no hitter while striking out seven and allowing only a handful of runners on by walks. The hitting behind him was as good scoring 18 runs on 17 hits.
