OZARK, Mo. — Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) has announced the date for the Boots, Badges & Bandages Blood Drive.

In honor of supporting Christian County first responders and providing support to local patients, the blood drive event will take place on Tuesday, July 23.

It is also a friendly competition between the fire, police and EMS departments aimed to encourage community donations, with a traveling trophy awarded to the department with the highest participation.

The event will take place in two locations:

    • Nixa Blood Drive
      • Tuesday, July 23
      • 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
      • North Point Church
      • 235 W. Tracker Road, Nixa
    • Ozark Blood Drive
      • Tuesday, July 23
      • 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
      • CCAD Building

All donors will receive a special limited edition Boots, Badges and Bandages T-shirt honoring first responders, while supplies last.

“Join us in this spirited challenge and help save lives while celebrating our community,” said Nixa Fire Chief Lloyd Walles.

“The Boots, Badges, and Bandages blood drive is an incredible way for our community to come together and support one another,” said Ozark Police Chief Justin Arnold. “Come show your community spirit and save lives by participating in this friendly competition. Every drop of blood donated can help save a life, and that’s the real victory we’re all aiming for.”

CBCO says to help avoid wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged. Donors can schedule an appointment at www.cbco.org/bootsandbadges/ or by calling 417-227-5006.
