Upscale food hall Wonder plans to make its debut in Somerset County.

After inking a deal to lease the entirety of 245 Route 22 in Green Brook, the concept expects to open its 3,100-square-foot space by January 2025, according to Edison-based Bussel Realty Corp. BRC serves as leasing and management agent for the property.

Featuring a collection of acclaimed chefs and eateries, Wonder's “fast fine” concept allows customers to order from multiple restaurants at once for delivery, pick-up or dining in.

Commenting on the new tenant, Connor Vanderbeek, vice president of BRC retail services, said, “This is a great addition to the Green Brook market as Wonder continues to expand their footprint throughout New Jersey.”

Billionaire entrepreneur Marc Lore founded Wonder in 2018. The business was based on mobile kitchens that prepared chef-designed meals outside of customers’ homes. Over the past year, it has pivoted to a concept focused on physical locations offering options from restaurants it has licensing deals with.

Wonder has its R&D facility in Parsippany. Since 2023, it's opened eight eateries in New York City, six in New Jersey and one in Pennsylvania.

After securing $700 million in funding earlier this year, Lore has said the new capital will allow Wonder to open 90 locations across the Northeast by the end of 2025.

According to Wonder’s website, planned 2024 New Jersey openings include:

The brand already has outposts in Ledgewood, Hoboken, Springfield, Midland Park, Westfield and Cresskill.
