Red Oak man arrested for eluding, drug possession
(Red Oak) – A Red Oak man faces multiple charges after allegedly leading authorities on a pursuit. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says deputies conducted a traffic stop around 7 p.m. near 8th Street and East Park Avenue in Red Oak. The driver -- who was identified as 18-year-old Michael David Johnson – allegedly failed to stop and initiated a pursuit through Red Oak.
Creston Police Arrest Two People on Child Endangerment Charges
(Creston) Creston Police arrested two people on child endangerment charges over the weekend. Police say 30-year-old Laura Cecilia Zapata Gonzales of Lenox and 24-year-old Julissa Padilla of Lenox face charges of child endangerment and substantial risk. Gonzales faces an additional charge of OWI, 1st Offense. The two were arrested at Highway 34 and Cromwell Road on Saturday at 3:29 a.m. Officers transported both Gonzales and Padilla to the Union County Jail. Authorities released them after they posted the bond.
