    Norfolk house fire leaves one person and cat displaced

    NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Fire-Rescue is investigating a house fire that left one person and a cat displaced.

    Around 11:37 a.m. Tuesday, crews were called to the 6700 block of Palem Road for a house fire.

    When crews arrived on scene, they found a fire on the first-floor of the home. Fire crews made their way inside the home and were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire. The fire was under control by 11:58 a.m.

    The Red Cross is assisting the displaced. No one was hurt.
