Lee Pulliam keeps promise to his dad, returns to chase third Martinsville 300 win
One of the best to ever do it in a Late Model Stock Car is coming back to chase a third Ridgeway Grandfather Clock in September. The four-time NASCAR Weekly Series national champion hasn’t raced since 2020 and hasn’t been full-time behind the wheel since two years before that as Pulliam is currently all-in on running a wildly successful driver development program.
Post 79 Splits a Pair in DH
The South Hill Post 79 American Legion junior team split a pair of games against visiting Norfolk Post 327 on Saturday afternoon at Mecklenburg County High School. Xander Pulley pitched four innings to earn the win on the mound in the first game, allowing two earned runs on seven hits while striking out nine and walking one. Caleb Ward pitched three scoreless innings, allowing only one hit while striking out six and walking one.
