Lincoln Riley may have been indirectly mentioned during Oklahoma Sooners Athletic Director Joe Castiglione's time on Monday's version of SEC Now.

Riley began his head coaching career in Norman in 2017. He stayed with the program until 2022 when he left to coach the USC Trojans. Riley has coached Heisman winners like Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray at Oklahoma and Caleb Williams at USC.

The former Oklahoma coach has had plenty of success on the sidelines. Riley currently has a record of 74-18 as a head coach.

It is safe to say that Riley's departure from Oklahoma still does not sit well with some. Castiglione appeared to take a shot at Riley when talking about the SEC move.

"...I will tell you, without reservation, every coach that we talked to was excited," Castiglione said. "And, you know what, the ones that weren’t aren’t here anymore. Well, you either gotta accept it or not. This is Oklahoma. Either get with it or get on with it."

Castiglione is coming into the SEC with some fire. The Sooners are set to open the 2024 season against the Temple Owls on Aug. 30. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
