As Softball America grows its coverage at all levels, we continue our recruiting spotlight series with Allyssa Parker. Parker is currently ranked second in our 2025 pitcher rankings as the Oklahoma native will stay home and continue her softball career at the University of Oklahoma. As a pitcher and a shortstop, Parker will surely be an asset wherever Oklahoma needs her on the field.

What about Oklahoma did you love the most?
The culture. I fell in love with the championship mindset and how the coaches not only make players better on the field but in life as well.
What is your favorite travel ball memory?
Making it to the AFCS finals and competing with my best friends.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned from a coach?
Trust the process. Everyone has a different process, so working on what you do best and not comparing your process to anyone else’s.
How did you get interested in softball?
I love to compete. So just being able to be myself and compete with the best of the best makes me happy.
What are your strengths as a player? What are you trying to improve on the most?
I love to be in the game. I don’t care where I play. I like to compete at whatever position that coach puts me at. Even on the bench I’m always competing .
What player(s) do you look up to the most?
Kelly Maxwell.
What are your favorite hobbies outside of softball?
Hanging out with friends, playing basketball, and I love to sleep.
What excites you the most about playing college softball?
Getting to compete and play with the best of the best and getting to learn from players who have been there previously and getting to improve my game.
