Normandy Park City Manager’s Report for week ending May 31, 2024

Increased Traffic Enforcement coming in June

Finally, after much effort, our traffic enforcement motorcycle is ready to start patrolling here in Normandy Park!

Beginning Thursday, June 6th, weather dependent, you are likely to see a police motorcycle enforcing traffic laws including speeding throughout Normandy Park.  This new tool will be especially useful in the areas that are difficult to enforce using a standard police car.  Please obey the speed limit or our new police motorcycle unit will likely be making your acquaintance shortly!

Public Art Reception, Friday, June 7th

The Art Commission works diligently to bring art to the community. This includes working with local artists and regularly displaying art in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The display rotates quarterly, and the public is always welcome to view the art. If you would like to see the latest exhibition, join us this upcoming Friday evening.

A reception is being held for the original art by Northwest artist Jeanne Hocker-Nordquist. The event will also include a musical performance by The Tradewinds. Join the fun on Friday, June 7th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers to celebrate local art!

If you have any questions, please get in touch with me at aarrington@normandyparkwa.gov.

    “Have a great week!”
