BLAIRSVILLE MAYOR EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER BUILDING WITHOUT PERMITS
During the Blarisville Borough Council Meeting, Mayor Ronald Evanko expressed some concern that people were not getting proper permits for home construction projects. Evanko said during the meeting that he is seeing construction projects, like roofing, going on for one day, but they do not have the proper permits for it. He said that having those permits is very important.

Part of Pennsylvania Turnpike reopens after live power lines come down
Part of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in the North Hills region has reopened Monday evening after live high-tension power lines came down across all road lanes. The communications team for the Turnpike said around 8 p.m. that the lanes in both directions between the Cranberry (Exit 28) and Butler Valley (Exit 39) interchanges were closed. The wires came down near mile marker 36, where Route 910 crosses the Turnpike.
