Boom at the Park brings thousands to Evans
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Boom at the Park is underway at Evans Towne Center Park. The gates opened around 5 p.m., but vendors and event staff have been prepping all day. “Usually, to be honest, we try to get here earlier, but they only have set times for us to get. So, we try to come up with a game plan ahead of time. Just got here, and started unloading. We have a routine, started doing our signs packing out getting everything prepped. So, we’ve been doing it for a while, try to get in and be set up within two hours, if possible,” said Shane Mathews with Wicked Good Eats.

Pretty black and white mixed breed Dora is 1-1/2 years old and just 37 pounds. She likes other dogs and is just a little shy when she meets people for the first time. (WIS) - Thousands of people are expected to flood Hilton Field on Thursday, July 4, as they celebrate Fort Jackson’s Fourth of July Celebration. “It’s a great way for the people of Columbia to get to know their Army,” Fort Jackson’s Chief of Plans and Operations, Jason Piere, said, “To come onto Fort Jackson and talk to the drill sergeants, officers, and NCO’s that run basic training, to understand what they do and how they create the future Army right here in Columbia.”
