NJ men accused of ripping off investors for $6.7M in fuel scheme
Two Middlesex County men have been indicted by a state grand jury for allegedly cheating investors out of about $6.7 million. Shahid Javed, of Old Bridge, and Wilfredo Topacio, of Woodbridge, used fake companies and identities to dupe investors into believing they would make large profits off of fuel products, according to state Attorney General Matthew Platkin.

An analysis of over 500 ZIP codes in the state showed that most will see home values drop by 1% or less in July. However, five towns — Pedricktown in Salem County, Brown Mills in Burlington County, Jersey City in Hudson County, Pemberton Township in Burlington County and Gibbsboro in Camden County — will see decreases of over 1%.
