G’day, Bachelor Nation mates! Or should we say g’night?

After The Bachelorette ‘s historic Season 21 premiere , Jenn Tran and her remaining 18 guys headed down under for the first one-on-one date of the season, two group dates, and a whole lot of Devin Drama ™.

As the group explored Australia and got to know their leading lady a bit better, real feelings started forming, tensions started rising, and insults started flying. The two-hour episode gave us snakes (one reptile! one human!), skydiving, another emotional intelligence fight, lots of romance, and so much more.

Wondering who got Jenn Tran’s first one-on-one date of the season? Who snagged the group date roses? How “Budget Pete Davidson” became Enemy #1 with the guys? And who went home during Week 2 of The Bachelorette ? Decider’s Season 21, Episode 2 recap has you covered.

Here’s everything you missed, including which men make it to Episode 3 and “koala-fy” as potential husband material.

The Bachelorette Group Date 1 Recap: Roasting Devin On The Barbie

For the first group date of the season, Jenn invited eight of her boyfriends — Sam N., Marvin, Brian, Jonathon, Aaron, Grant, Jeremy, and Devin — to explore Melbourne with her. The group headed to Queen Victoria Market to try (and hate!) Vegemite, a shot of whisky and kangaroo testicles, and more Australian classics — but the fun was cut short when Devin stole Jenn away for a private ice cream date, leaving the rest of the guys (especially Aaron) feeling disrespected.

To lighten the mood, Jenn took her fellas to Melbourne’s international comedy festival and gave them 10 minutes to write some zingers to perform on stage. After all, laughter is the key to her heart! Sadly, the plan backfired when the date turned into a straight-up barbie roast of Devin. The seven men called him everything from “ugly” and “full of shit” to “Budget Pete Davidson.” (I’m sure Pete Davidson would very much like to be excluded from The Bachelorette Season 21 narrative, one that he never asked to be a part of.)

At the first group date afterparty, Jenn strengthened connections with guys like Jonathon and Grant, but the night was largely overshadowed by drama between Devin and Aaron. Still frustrated by Devin turning the group date into a one-on-one, Aaron pulled Devin aside, accidentally called him Dylan, then questioned his intentions with Jenn. Devin’s response? “I cant wait for you to come to our wedding.” Burn. Later in the night, Devin interrupted Aaron’s time by bringing Jenn a bowl of ice cream as a callback to their group date adventure, and the vibes between the guys were never the same. A “peeved” Aaron interrupted Devin’s time, then Devin came back to steal Jenn again, which caused the Season 21 lead to say, “I’m not loving that Aaron and Devin are battling it out right now.” As predicted, neither emerged with a stem. Instead…

Who Got The Rose? The first group date rose of the season went to drama-free Grant.

Jenn Tran and Marcus Shoberg ‘s One-On-One Date Recap: Falling (15,000 feet) In Love

Jenn has said she’s scared of heights before, so for her first one-on-one date she wanted to pick someone who could calm her when she went…skydiving! She decided that Marcus, a 31-year-old Army Ranger Veteran from Raleigh, North Carolina, was the man for the job. And she chose correctly, because the man had already jumped out of several planes before! Once the two lovebirds got their feet back on the ground, Jenn vowed to help Marcus overcome his fear of being vulnerable. When they met up later that evening for a romantic dinner at the State Library, Marcus explained, “I wasn’t always the strong, confident, assertive person that I am today. A lot of work went into becoming that type of man.”

Marcus told Jenn that during his eight years serving as an army ranger he had a near-death experience that changed his entire outlook on life. His job was to go on raids in the middle of the night, and during his last deployment to Afghanistan he got seriously injured by a grenade and spent months in the hospital using a breathing through tube, getting surgeries, and even learning how to walk again. “There’s my life before and after that moment. Now I’m hyper aware of the fragility of life. Walking away from that experience, I want to live a life that was worth saving and want it to be as full of love as humanly possible,” Marcus explained, shedding a few tears. Jenn told him he was so resilient and she appreciated his vulnerability. After giving him the one-on-one rose, she even told cameras she could see him being her “forever person.”

Did Marcus Get A Rose? You bet!

The Bachelorette Group Date 2 Recap: “Hakeem Is Unwell”

Next up? Jenn’s nine remaining guys headed to Torquay in Victoria, Australia for an unexpected wildlife shoot. For those wondering, yes, the date did include Pet Portrait Entrepreneur Spencer, who was in his glory the entire time. After the guys changed into outback explorer attire, they each met Jenn for a shoot and got paired with Australian wildlife…for better or worse. Sam M got a lace monitor named Blue. Spencer got an owl. And Hakeem, who shouldn’t have mentioned he was afraid of spiders, got a — well, you know. He didn’t take the crawling well and repeatedly screamed “Dont put that shit on my neck!” until a handler saved him. And before the day portion of the date ended, Dylan, a 24-year-old medical student from Elk Grove, California, stepped up to take a photo with Jenn and a massive snake. For his “A+ move,” he was rewarded with a romantic one-on-one dinner while the rest of the guys were sent home early.

Dylan made the most of his time alone with Jenn and broke down his walls, telling her that his parents got married within six months of meeting, that he felt insecure in the group of guys, and that he was a very shy kid growing up. While the two bonded over shared values, the eight boys got back from their shoot and made a plea for extended time with Jenn at the pre-rose ceremony cocktail party to make up for their abbreviated date. The request was obviously directed at Devin, who agreed to respect the group. Did he? Buckle up, mates.

Who Got The Rose? The second group date rose of the episode went to drama-free Dylan.

The Bachelorette Season 21, Episode 2 opened by teasing a fight between Devin and Thomas N., which — considering Devin spent all episode beefing with Aaron — made no sense at the time. By the end of the episode, however, it was clear there was still plenty of Devin hate to go around!

Ahead of the cocktail party, Aaron sat Devin down and told him he doesn’t think he’s right for Jenn. “I see you as a bully,” Aaron explained before giving him a book on self-growth and emotional intelligence that he brought with him on the trip. Devin didn’t appreciate the “passive aggressive” move, and when the cocktail party kicked off he stunned the group by stealing Jenn immediately after the toast. While Aaron was peeved again, Thomas N. took the show of disrespect the hardest and barged in to interrupt Devin and Jenn’s time together, stealing Devin for a screaming match in the other room, which Jenn listened in on. (Iconic move.)

Devin gave Thomas N his time, but when Jenn learned what the beef was all about, she didn’t necessarily side with the group date guys. “You guys are making decisions for me. You’re taking my independence out of it,” she said. “We all just need to be respectful of each other.” Thomas and Devin took their fight outside later on in the night, but absolutely nothing was resolved ahead of the rose ceremony.

The Bachelorette Rose Ceremony Recap: Who Goes Home During Season 21, Episode 2?

So who was booted back to the United States in Episode 2? Devin and Thomas were safe, but just barely. Here’s who went home on The Bachelorette ‘s second Season 21 episode:

    • Brian, 33, an aesthetics consultant from Boynton Beach, Fla.
    • Jahaan, 28, a startup founder from New York, N.Y.
    • Marvin, 28, a luxury event planner from Santa Monica, Calif.
