A popular Chinese restaurant in West Ashley will soon relocate.

Old Li’s Restaurant is moving from its current location on Savannah Hwy to a bigger space at 4951 Centre Pointe Dr in North Charleston . The restaurant will close on July 14, 2024, and reopen at its new location in November. An employee of Old Li’s confirmed this development with What Now Charleston .

According to The Post and Courier , Old Li’s opened in 2021 after owner Lao Li , unable to find any local examples of food from his native Fujian Province, decided to bring Min cuisine to Charleston.

The eatery serves a variety of classic Chinese dishes, from dumplings and spring rolls to egg drop soup and shrimp fried rice. In addition to these traditional offerings, Old Li’s also features lesser-known authentic dishes like sea oyster pancake, squirrel fish, and lychee meat.

From June 6 to July 14, Old Li’s customers can enjoy a 15% discount on orders over $20, whether ordered online or in-store.
