    North East Little League 10U baseball crowned District 5 champions

    ELKTON — North East Little League’s 10U baseball team became District 5 champions on Wednesday night with a 7-2 victory over Rising Sun Little League. North East advances to the state tournament hosted at Halfway National Little League in Hagerstown. The state championship begins July 13.

    North East scored seven runs in the first two innings to hold a 7-0 lead and never looked back. Rising Sun battled back in the top half of fourth and sixth innings with runs to pull within five.

    Jaxon Williamson drove in two runs for North East, while Ben Burton, M.J. Guyer and Camden Lindecamp each finished with one RBI. On the mound, Liam Tuohey pitched seven innings and struck out six hitters.

    Rising Sun’s Roland Kubala and Oliver Maska each finished with an RBI.

    North East’s roster includes: Ben Burton, Hudson Crockett, Jeremy Dell, Jordan Egan, Knox Guyer, M.J. Guyer, Camden Lindecamp, Hunter McDonough, Richard Mort, Liam Tuohey, Jaxon Williamson, Collin Winniford, Cori Abshagen (Manager), Ed Abshagen (Coach) and Jessie Crockett (Coach)

    Rising Sun’s roster included: Easton Thomas, William Braun, Logan Hall, Jacob Hamilton, Oliver Maska, Bryce McDowell, Cash Martinez, Roland Kubala, Bodhi Ore, Ashby Erbe, Landon Hall, Lucas Welch, Brad Hall (Manager), Chris Thomas (Coach) and Rick Braun (Coach)
