Margate Holds Sandbag Giveaway Event to Help Residents Prepare for Hurricanes
The City of Margate held a sandbag giveaway at Oriole Park on Saturday to help residents prepare for hurricanes and severe weather. On Saturday, the city’s public works department placed 1,000 filled sandbags in Oriole Park’s parking lot and handed out bags to residents. Those who wanted them could drive up, and public works staff would place them in their cars.
