    Argenta Contemporary Theatre brings ‘The Sunshine Boys’ to North Little Rock

    NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A classic Neil Simon play is planned for North Little Rock audiences in September.

    Argenta Contemporary Theatre said in a Monday release that it is partnering with the ACANSA Arts Festival of the South to bring “The Sunshine Boys” to the North Little Rock stage. Performances are scheduled to run 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 – 21, with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. at the ACT II Sharon Heflin Performing Arts Center at 315 Main Street Suite B.

    “The Sunshine Boys” is the story of a once-top-rated vaudevillian team that no longer speaks to each other but is now getting back together for a television special. Since its 1972 introduction, it has been performed around the world and received multiple awards.

    The Sunshine Boys is sponsored by ACANSA and The City of North Little Rock. The production is among 14 cultural events featured during the 9th Annual ACANSA Arts Festival of the South, which will be held Sept. 5 – 21 in multiple venues across Little Rock and North Little Rock.
