Two Arrested After Altercation in Galena Park
Two men are in custody following a Wednesday evening altercation in a southeast Kansas park. Just after 6pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, Galena Police and Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies were called to Schermerhorn Park Creek in Galena after reports of a verbal exchange between a large group of individuals. Reports indicated that a suspect had assaulted park goers and their children by brandishing a weapon and then fleeing the scene.
Lake Of The Ozarks Business Owner Rick Griffin Dies At 56
SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. — An owner of Chic's N Dix HonkyTonk & Saloon unexpectedly passed away at the establishment Wednesday afternoon. Sunrise Beach police officers responded to a medical call at 3:33 p.m., July 24, and found 56-year-old Rick Griffin unconscious inside the building. Unfortunately, he died on scene. The department does not suspect foul play.
