One hurt in six-car wreck on Highway 501

Myrtle Beach rescue swimmers, lifeguards honored for service during 2023 banner plane crash
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - A group of lifeguards and rescue swimmers were honored for their quick action during a plane crash last year. The City of Myrtle Beach said Friday that two swimmers from the fire department’s ocean rescue division and four lifeguards from John’s Beach Service received the United States Lifesaving Association’s Heroic Act Award.
