NELS: Next generation emerging for relentless Reading Memorial
SUDBURY, Mass. – After a year off, I returned to one of the most unique tournaments in the region — the New England Lacrosse Showcase. NELS is a final chance for high school teams to unite after their season and compete without their graduated seniors. It is one of the few events to eschew club teams, welcoming schools from New England (sans their coaches to comply with MIAA rules) and beyond to compete against one another.

Wilmington 9U team beats Reading: Rockets suffer first loss of season in thriller against Wildcats
The Wilmington 9U Bay State baseball team defeated the Reading Red team last night at Boutwell Field, 8-7. It was Reading’s first loss of the season. Wyatt Grossman started on the mound for Wilmington and pitched 4.2 innings. He struck out six and made a great diving play off the mound for a big out.

Loyola’s Roman Qualifies For U.S. Amateur
CONCORD, Mass. – Loyola rising senior Jackson Roman qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship on Monday, tying for first in a final qualifier at Concord Country Club. Roman shot a bogey-free 5-under 65 on Monday on the 6,703-yard, par-70 course to tie Bryson Richards and James Imai for medalist honors at the qualifier.
