Suspect attacks security guard with skateboard at Santa Ana Target
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Police in Santa Ana are looking for the person who was seen on security footage attacking a Target security guard with a skateboard. It happened on June 10, at the Target store on W. 17th Street. The Santa Ana Police Department shared video of the incident and pictures of the suspect on social media earlier this week.
Laguna Beach woman says viral video doesn't capture whole story
A heated confrontation was caught on video between a homeowner in Laguna Beach and a family that was sitting on the sand in front of her home.The incident, which was captured in a now viral video, happened last week on Victoria Beach near the trail stairs.In the footage, the woman is seen yelling at the family and using a spool of rope to section off her property.The homeowner told Eyewitness News that she asked the group to leave once the beach closed. She claims she was being antagonized before being recorded.The family claims they were never on her property. Eyewitness News reached out to the family involved, but they declined to comment.According to the California Coastal Commission, all beaches are public up to the high tide line.

Narcotic Unit Detectives served a search warrant at a residence related to a narcotic investigation, according to the SAPD. The police detectives seized 20 pounds of fentanyl, 2 kilos of methamphetamine, 2 pounds of psilocybin, 1 pound of oxycodone, 5,400 Xanax pills, approximately $61,000.00 in US Currency, 2 firearms, ammunition and a military ballistic vest.
The SAPD has identified the motorcyclist who died in a collision on Thursday morning
SANTA ANA, CA (July 26, 2024) – A 23-year-old man died in a fatal traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. On Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 6:01 a.m., the Santa Ana Police Department received multiple calls regarding a traffic collision at the intersection of Bristol Street and Hemlock Way. SAPD Officers and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to the scene where they discovered the collision involved a motorcycle and a vehicle. Despite lifesaving measures by a civilian who administered CPR and OCFA, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The lone male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Irvine police seek help identifying porch pirate caught on video stealing package
Police are searching for a porch pirate who was captured on video stealing a package from a home in Orange County.The Irvine Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a woman who was seen riding a scooter in front of a Woodbridge area home on July 10.After leaving her scooter in front of the home, the woman is seen on video snatching the package from the doorstep with a big smile on her face.Police believe she may be responsible for other thefts.Anybody who recognizes her is urged to contact Irvine police at rnigg@cityofirvine.org.

Police searching for man who recorded woman inside Target changing room in Buena Park
Police are searching for a man who was allegedly seen recording a woman using a Target changing room in Orange County last week. It happened last Friday, July 19 at around 10:40 a.m., when a woman who was trying on clothes in the dressing room noticed that someone had reached under the door and was recording her with a cell phone, according to a release from the Buena Park Police Department. "The victim confronted the suspect and chased him as he ran from the store," the statement said. He was able to flee from the scene in what they described as a small blue SUV, similar to a Honda CR-V. The suspect is described as a man in his late 40s who stands around 6-feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has short, black/gray hair and was wearing a gray t-shirt, black athletic pants and glasses.
