Laguna Playhouse is presenting the transfer of North Coast Repertory Theatre of Lerner & Loewe’s CAMELOT, book & lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, music by Frederick Loewe, original production directed and staged by Moss Hart, based on The Once and Future King by T.H. White, new orchestrations by Steve Orich, musical direction by Daniel Lincoln, choreography by Jill Gorrie Rovatsos, and directed by Jeffrey B. Moss. Lerner & Loewe’s CAMELOT is currently in previews and will open on Sunday, July 28 at 5:30pm; and perform through Sunday, August 11 at the Laguna Playhouse.

29-Year-Old Arrested on Suspicion of Setting San Juan Vegetation Fires
A 29-year-old man suspected of having started several brush fires around San Juan Capistrano last month was arrested on Wednesday, July 17, in a collaborative effort. Sergio Parracastellon, or Sergio Parra, of San Juan Capistrano, was taken into custody on July 17 in a partnership between the Orange County Fire Authority and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
42-Acre San Juan Property Breaks Orange County Housing Price Record at $150 Million
Breaking real estate records in Orange County, a rare 42-acre property in San Juan Capistrano hit the market in June for a listing price of $150 million. In the heart of San Juan near Marbella Country Club, Robert Maurer, the seller of “Casa Grande,” has been dreaming of the day to see the fruition of the estate be completed. The estate includes an existing 21,000-square-foot structure consisting of three apartments, offices, and storage space, which was completed in 2010. It also has permitted plans for a 38,000-square-foot main residence on a ridgeline with 360-degree views.
Laguna Beach woman says viral video doesn't capture whole story
A heated confrontation was caught on video between a homeowner in Laguna Beach and a family that was sitting on the sand in front of her home.The incident, which was captured in a now viral video, happened last week on Victoria Beach near the trail stairs.In the footage, the woman is seen yelling at the family and using a spool of rope to section off her property.The homeowner told Eyewitness News that she asked the group to leave once the beach closed. She claims she was being antagonized before being recorded.The family claims they were never on her property. Eyewitness News reached out to the family involved, but they declined to comment.According to the California Coastal Commission, all beaches are public up to the high tide line.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón has taken a firm stand against street violence with the charges issued in the murder of street vendor Yener Ramirez. As announced by the DA's office, Rahman Abdallah and Raylon Akers are being charged with murder after the fatal shooting of Ramirez, who was doing his job selling corn on the streets of Long Beach on March 20. A third man, James Havlicheck, has been charged with accessory after the fact, as reported by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
