State police search for 2 teens who escaped detention center, officials say
Pennsylvania state police are searching for two teen inmates who they say escaped a youth detention center in Berks County and may be in the Bucks County area. On Saturday, July 6, at 4:45 p.m., Dustin Lomas, 16, and Tyler Lutz, 18, escaped from Abraxas Academy – a youth detention center in Berks County – by climbing over a fence, state police said.

A 2-year-old boy is recovering after a large tree branch fell on his arm and severed it in Montgomery County on Saturday.It happened at approximately 6 p.m. at a home on Chandler Road in Cheltenham Township.Authorities say the boy was attending a birthday party when the incident occurred.According to police, the branch fell about 50 feet while a group of children was playing in a driveway.He was rushed to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where his arm was later amputated. Animal rights activists protested outside the court hearing on Monday for an Upper Darby woman accused of torturing animals and posting the videos on social media.The hearing and protest was held in Media, Delaware County.Police say Anigar Monsee, from Upper Darby, tortured and killed several animals and posted it all on social media to get views and followers.In one video, Monsee is seen with a chicken."During the video, she is soliciting more likes and more viewers.
