The number of newly listed homes hitting the real estate market surged by over 30% in Hunterdon County last month, the latest figures from Realtor.com showed. Hunterdon County had 192 homes listed in June, up from 146 last year, according to the data. Cumberland County saw the second largest increase, at 19.40%.
Update: Berks County under a flash flood warning Monday morning
On Monday at 6:07 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning in effect until 7:30 a.m. for Berks County. "At 6:07 a.m., Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated showers and thunderstorms that produced between 1 and 4.5 inches of rain across the warned area have weakened and mostly moved to the south and east. Portions of Route 422 in Exeter Township are closed due to flash flooding," according to the weather service. "This includes Interstate 176 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 3 and 11."

A fired Philadelphia police officer who pleaded guilty to murder in the shooting of a fleeing 12-year-old boy was sentenced Monday to at least eight years in prison. Edsaul Mendoza, a five-year veteran of the force who was fired a week after the shooting in 2022, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in April in the shooting of Thomas “T.J.” Siderio.
