    One person is dead after two-vehicle crash on King St in Northampton

    NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Northampton police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Damon Road and King Street Thursday night.

    A 22News crew saw state police and the DA’s office on King Street as crews used crime scene tape to section off the scene of the crash right near the Pride gas station. The area was shut down for some time while officers investigated.

    Northampton Fire Assistant Fire Chief Matt Lemberg told 22News that they were called at around 8:52 Thursday for a two-vehicle crash, one car was rear-ended.

    According to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office Spokesperson Laurie Loisel, a 62-year-old Springfield man has died, and it is possible it was a medical incident. No charges are being sought.
