Sunbury, Pa. — An area nonprofit offering conflict meditation services is gearing up for its annual fall fundraiser.

Susquehanna Valley Mediation (SVM) will host this year's fall fundraiser at Whispering Oaks Vineyard in Sunbury. SVM serves residents of Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties.

Join SVM for a relaxing day of food, fun, and live music on Sept. 15 from 1-4 p.m.

Tickets for the fundraiser are already on sale. To purchase tickets, visit donorbox.org/svm-donations and select one of the "ticket SVM Fundraiser" options. Tickets are $50 per adult or $350 for a table of eight. The event includes a complimentary drink, hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, and live music from the Folk Justice Band.

All proceeds from the evening will directly contribute to SVM programs and its mission to build a stronger, more connected community by “supporting constructive responses to conflict.” Last year, SVM served over 1,700 people and volunteers gave over 2,500 hours to help their neighbors.

“We couldn’t do our work without the support and engagement of our volunteers and the community. Our fundraiser helps us raise the essential funds needed to continue that work. It’s also a chance for people to learn more about the impact their support has across the region,” said Susan Jordan, SVM’s Executive Director. “Fundamental to our work is how important relationships are to people’s well-being and ability to handle the challenges of life. In that spirit, we hope this event will also be a chance for people to build relationships, relax, and have some fun together.”

SVM provides conflict mediation, facilitation, and education services, and offers specific programs for families in recovery, families in crisis, people involved in custody disputes, landlords and tenants, individuals returning home to the community from prison and their families, and groups wanting to improve communication and collaboration.
