Bloomsburg, Pa. — A woman was arrested after police say she stole money from her boyfriend's bank account.

Katyln Marie Shafer, 28, had been withdrawing money from the account March 15 to April 15, according to Bloomsburg Officer Ken Auchter. She had also been using her boyfriend's Journey Bank account to pay her Capitol One credit card, according to charges.

He contacted police on July 5 after he realized more than $800 had reportedly been taken without his permission. When Auchter questioned Shafer about the missing money, she allegedly admitted to taking it.

Shafer, Leonard Street, was charged with access device fraud and theft.
