    7 recitals headline 17th annual summer organ concert season

    Another summer tradition rounding the bend again is the Noontime Organ recitals that occur around Northfield at a different venue every Wednesday.

    This year marks the 17th season of the free half-hour concerts. Seven recitals dot the calendar this summer, beginning on July 3 and running until Aug. 14.

    The Wednesday concert series begins at 12:15 p.m. and lasts until 12:45 p.m. making the noontime experience a perfect lunchtime escape.

    The first concert on July 3 features a patriotic program with James Bobb performing at Boe Chapel, St. Olaf College, 1523 Campus Dr.

    On July 10, Jay Zoller performs at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 500 3rd St. W.

    On July 17, Richard Collman plays at Skinner Chapel, Carleton College, 405 1st St. E.

    On July 24, John Schultz will play at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1321 North Ave.

    On July 31, Joanne Rodland performs at Northfield United Methodist Church, 1401 S. Maple St.

    On Aug. 7, Noah Klein will play at the historic Valley Grove Lutheran Church, 9999 155th St. E. in Nerstrand.

    The final concert in the 2024 summer series will be Aug. 14 with Stephen May playing at First United Church of Christ, 300 Union St.
