Williamsport, Pa. — A federal grand jury indicted a Northumberland County man for multiple firearms offenses.

Ryan Edward Mills, 51, possessed three firearms on Jan. 10 that he was prohibited from having due to a previous felony conviction, according to a release from the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Mills had in his possession a pistol, semi-automatic shotgun, and an AR-15 style rifle. Additionally, the indictment alleges one of the firearms had an obliterated serial number.

The maximum penalty under federal law for the crimes charged in the indictment is 35 years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.
