UM Health-Sparrow sees Q1 decrease in drug-related deaths since 2019
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Fewer people are dying from drugs in Michigan, according to a Q1 report by the University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Forensic Pathology Services. UM Health-Sparrow released its quarter one (Q1) report on drug-related deaths in seven counties, including Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, Isabella, Livingston, and Shiawassee, in which it serves as medical examiner.

(CBS DETROIT) - Video shows contractors demolishing the Northville Downs clubhouse after the horse racing facility closed earlier this year. "A tall excavator with industrial shears is cutting the vertical steel beams of the Downs clubhouse and also knocking the dangling debris downward," the city of Northville said in a post on social media Monday morning. As contractors worked on the building, a mister was used to spray water to help contain dust.City officials say the overhang will be the last part of the building to be taken down. A three-mile stretch of Interstate 94 in Michigan will be converted into America’s first smart highway. Axios reports that the Alphabet-backed startup Cavnue has started constructing the smart highway as part of a new pilot project that could spur other construction projects across the country.
