Newsstand: Three big Notre Dame targets have commitment dates set in July

July may be one of the slower months of the year in the world of college football, but at the same time, it’s a month where many prospects announce their college declarations after taking official visits the month before.

Blue & Gold has reported that there are three Notre Dame targets set to announce their commitments this month, and as the days go by, that number could certainly grow.

The first prospect to announce a commitment will be today. Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor’s JaDon Blair , the No. 157 overall recruit and No. 15 safety in America per the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, comes off the board at 3 p.m. ET. He will be making his commitment on the On3 Recruits YouTube channel .

Louisville, Florida State, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Michigan and Penn State are the finalists for the four-star prospect. He’s considered a Fighting Irish lean according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) .

On Monday, Houston Dekaney’s Tanook Hines , the No. 330 overall player and No. 48 wide receiver in the land per the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, is expected to come off the board. Arizona State, Baylor, Texas, USC and Notre Dame are the schools he officially visited during his recruiting process. Going into his decision, the feeling is that the Trojans and Fighting Irish are the teams to beat for him.

La Verne (Calif.) Bonita’s Dylan Robinson , who ranks as the No. 187 recruit and No. 8 “athlete” in the country according to the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, has set a commitment date for July 18, and Notre Dame, UCLA and Washington look to be the top contenders. He officially visited each school in June and had great experiences on each respective campus. The Irish are recruiting Robinson as a wide receiver.
