A 340-pound Indiana woman was charged with reckless homicide this week after she allegedly suffocated her 10-year-old foster son when she sat on him for several minutes, according to police.

Jennifer Lee Wilson, 48, allegedly killed youngster Dakota Levi Stevens in April after he attempted to escape to a neighbor’s house, according to court documents.  

Wilson is accused of sitting on the boy outside her home in what she said was a bid to stop him from “acting up,” the docs state.

Mirianne Pierre and Watson Joseph were arrested on Monday evening on two counts of dependent neglect and booked into Marion County Jail in Indiana.

A dangerous drug that is being mixed into fentanyl is causing those who inject it to develop a rash of sores that resembles a case of flesh-eating bacteria. The Denver City Council voted Monday to spend $5 million to shuffle 250 homeless people from the street directly into leased housing. The contract goes to Housing Connector, which has experience in such matters, according to a memo from city staff to the City Council. Extra money is included in the contract for things such as unexpected repairs, said Midori Higa of the Department of Housing Stability. She said if someone has a bad day and breaks a window, a replacement will be covered.
