Newsstand: Notre Dame to reveal Shamrock Series uniforms Wednesday

Notre Dame football will reveal its 2024 Shamrock Series uniforms Wednesday, the team announced Tuesday afternoon on social media. Much like the past two alternate jerseys worn under head coach Marcus Freeman , the Irish will do it with a clever parody.

Freeman and at least 17 players will spoof the 2013 movie The Wolf of Wall Street to reveal the jerseys, with the third-year head coach recreating an iconic scene as Leonardo DiCaprio ‘s Jordan Belfort .

This season’s Shamrock Series matchup is scheduled for Nov. 23, when the Irish will take on Army at Yankee Stadium in Bronx, N.Y.

In 2022, Freeman traveled to Las Vegas with tight end Michael Mayer and Vyper Isaiah Foskey to film a parody of 2009’s The Hangover. Together, they released the white jerseys with gold numbers that the Irish wore in their 28-20 win over BYU at Allegiant Stadium.

This past season, Freeman and running back Audric Estimé recreated the iconic “Show me the money!” scene from 1996’s Jerry Maguire. With quarterback Sam Hartman in the background, Estimé shouted “Show me the green jerseys!” as the Irish unveiled their green get-ups for what would be a 17-14 loss to Ohio State in South Bend.

Previous Shamrock Series locations have included Soldier Field in Chicago, the Alamodome in San Antonio and Fenway Park in Boston, among others. The Irish are 11-0 in the series, which debuted in 2009.
